Our Sydney GEYER VALMONT Studio is more than just a new office, it’s a living, breathing expression of our workplace strategy, design ethos, and end-to-end delivery capabilities.
Since opening, office satisfaction has increased by 41%, reflecting the success of a transformation that goes far beyond aesthetics. Furthermore, desk occupancy has increased by 34%. In shaping our own space, we put our philosophy into practice, creating a destination that not only supports how we work today but is purpose-built for how we’ll work tomorrow.
Positioned in the heart of the CBD, the studio marks a bold and intentional shift toward greater efficiency, connectivity, and cultural cohesion. While we reduced our footprint by a third, we elevated functionality, flexibility, and experience. Every square metre was purposefully designed to support hybrid working, foster meaningful collaboration, and spark focus and creativity.
Designed for agility and connection
With no fixed desks and more than a third of the space dedicated to flexible, multifunctional zones, including an indoor-outdoor terrace, the studio encourages spontaneous collaboration and team fluidity.
Timeless, thoughtful design
Durable materials and subtle finishes are paired with standout moments, like our iconic red cold-frame, offering a nod to our design legacy without falling for trends.
Future-proofed for innovation
Integrated systems for access, bookings, printing, and tech-enabled collaboration ensure a frictionless experience today and support seamless AI, VR, and advanced tools in the future.
A sustainable approach in action
From repurposed fittings to stone off-cuts given new life, the space is a practical demonstration of circular thinking and low-impact construction.
Empowering change through co-creation
Treating ourselves like a client, we implemented a robust change management process, ensuring every team member felt informed, engaged, and part of the journey.
Supporting neurodiverse needs
A variety of zones including quiet rooms, open collaborative areas and outdoor spaces, allow people to choose how and where they work best, supporting both hypersensitive and hyposensitive preferences.
Measured Success
Since the move, office satisfaction has increased by 41%, with staff overwhelmingly agreeing the new environment better supports how they work. Only 30% previously felt able to focus in the old office whereas now, 94% believe the space supports both focused work and collaboration, validating the core principles of our workplace strategy.
The new studio has also created greater cross-team engagement and dissolved old silos. Team members now interact with colleagues they previously never worked alongside, creating a more social, connected, and collaborative culture.
Initial concerns around unassigned seating were quickly overcome with 87% of staff reporting the transition as easy, with many citing desk flexibility as a favourite feature.
A Hub for Industry Connection
What was once a closed, internal office is now a platform for connection and influence. Since opening, the studio has welcomed over 500 industry guests across design tours, networking events, and client activations – a dramatic shift from zero in the previous office. The space now functions as a hub for the broader design and construction community – not just a workplace, but a destination.
This space stands as a high-performing, people-first environment, one that delivers measurable impact, fosters true collaboration, and reinforces the cultural and strategic foundations of GEYER VALMONT.
This isn’t just a new office. It is a testament to the power of integrated strategy, design, and delivery to transform the way we experience work.
