GEYER VALMONT has announced a significant investment into its Singapore business to transform the studio into a global innovation hub. The changes will improve its existing interior design capability through enhanced ways-of-working and industry-leading technology products that are market-ready.
Reimagining the Traditional Design Studio Model
Since Geyer and Valmont came together in 2020 and the brands unified last year, the GEYER VALMONT team has gone from strength to strength, delivering bespoke fit-out solutions in flagship workplaces across the globe. Combining the expertise and resources across both entities has led to a broader service offering and the ability to deliver industry leading work.
In line with this shift, GEYER VALMONT has developed a roadmap of ambitious steps for its Singapore studio, with the goal of reimagining the traditional design studio model.
“Over the last two decades, we have seen the challenges facing the design industry evolve and add complexity for our clients. That is why we are diving head-first into technology-led innovations that put our clients into the driver’s seat while enhancing the design capabilities and excellence of our team, with our Singapore studio at the heart of the changes,” said GEYER VALMONT CEO, Marcel Zalloua.
“Our Singapore studio has built an iron clad reputation for delivering high quality design and fit outs that elevate our clients’ visions for their spaces. We look forward to embarking on a number of exciting projects in the region as we further strengthen the capabilities of our Singapore studio.”
New Leadership Driving Expanded Capabilities
To manage this transformation, GEYER VALMONT has appointed Robert Price to lead the global design practice and the Singapore studio. Having joined GEYER VALMONT last year, Robert has already made a significant impact, borne from more than 25 years of experience leading internationally recognised design and architectural teams including award-winning projects for Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Nokia, and Huawei.
In his elevated position as Managing Principal of Design, Robert will play a central role in leading GEYER VALMONT’s design initiatives across all studios globally, with a particular focus on technology.
“Our new model will deliver enhanced ways of working and a suite of technology tools that allow us to elevate our design craft, unlock new services and deliver impactful spaces for our clients, both commercially and experientially. As the innovation hub, the Singapore studio will drive new capabilities and approaches that will be adopted across GEYER VALMONT’s global operations and lead the industry by example,” said Robert Price.
“Robert’s leadership enhances our integrated model by bringing industry-leading and globally- proven interior design expertise to the root of our international delivery teams. His approach aligns with our vision to deliver design through a truly unified, and technology-forward model,” said Mr Zalloua.
Delivering Innovative Design in the Region
In the last few months, GEYER VALMONT Singapore has completed a number of new bespoke workplace interior designs, with a large pipeline of activity underway, expanding projects with existing clients alongside exciting briefs from new brands.
Some signature solutions that the team have been proud to deliver recently in the region include TERRA – redefining what a shared workplace amenity could be by transforming an overlooked transfer floor into an exclusive, multifunctional destination that seamlessly blends hospitality, business utility, and premium service – and Authentic Brands Group – a premium-grade workplace that transcends traditional office boundaries, fusing retail, hospitality, and corporate functionality.
“As we move forward, we are optimistic and excited by the opportunities before the business, as GEYER VALMONT continues to forge a new pathway, blending craft with technology and reinforcing our position as a leader in workplace design solutions,” added Mr Zalloua.
